What do you do on a Memorial Day when it is 80 degrees out in Michigan? Get out the slip n slide of course, and let anyone who is daring enough to brave the frigid hose water enjoy a slip or slide or screech down the long and colorful plastic slide. When you are a child (or a child at heart) nevermind the dirt and grass that clings to the slide and your body, nevermind the freezing hose water, and nevermind the pain you feel after you launch yourself, arms outstretched - superhero in action - and then hit....experiencing the solid ungiving ground underneath...good times, good times to be had by all. And if you are really crazy (as we are in the Griese family) you'll give it a squirt of soap to add a bit more slip to your slide.
Note: From experience, be sure to use Tear Free children's soap....dish soap really stings the eyes.

Oh goodness... slip n slides used to be so much fun!! I am not sure I would feel the same anymore :) Can't say I ever remember us putting soap on it though! Joe said they did on their's too!! Crazy Griese's and crazy Kirklin's :)
